Private Birthday Party FAQs
PERSON IN CHARGE OF PARTY:
May gain access no more than 10 minutes prior to party. Party guests will be admitted at the actual scheduled start time. Party will end at the agreed time. If your group arrives before this time, they are welcome to wait in the lobby.
PARTY FLOW:
Please arrive at your scheduled party time and check in at the ticket window to pick up your guest admission tickets. Unlimited cheese or pepperoni pizza and pop are served during the first 1½ hours of your party. About 1 hour and 5 minutes into your party, the DJ will invite everyone to the Party Machine, where the birthday guest can win cash and prizes. Immediately afterward, guests will gather at the concession tables for cake, ice cream, and presents. Your party coach will serve the cake and ice cream. Afterward, you’re welcome to continue skating and enjoying the party until your scheduled ending time.
GUEST COUNT:
Everyone attending your party counts toward your guest total, whether they are skating or watching, including children, parents, grandparents, and other adults. The birthday guest is included in the guest count. Please use all of your party tickets, as unused tickets are non-refundable.
GUEST COUNT OVER 50 PEOPLE:
Please finalize and pay for your total guest count when your party balance is paid in full. If fewer guests attend, refunds for up to 10 prepaid no-show guests will be issued within 10 days after your party. If additional guests arrive, you may pay for up to 10 extra guests on the day of your party. Any guests beyond that limit will not be admitted. Please note that loitering in the parking lot is not permitted. These policies help us ensure adequate food, seating, and staffing for your event.
CAKE:
You’re welcome to bring a birthday cake, cupcakes. Ice cream is included with your party package. Please do not bring ice cream cakes, as we are unable to store or serve them properly. No outside food or drinks are permitted. For your convenience, we offer a full-service concession stand.
FOOD ALLERGY:
If one of your guests has a food allergy. Please contact management, BY EMAIL, for approval prior to arrival. AFTER APPROVAL a single food item may be allowed for the individual with the allergy only. You will receive consent via email, please bring consent email to the event. Jumpin’ Jupiter cannot store, cook or prepare any carry-in items. This includes placing items in a freezer or refrigerator.
PARTY INVITATIONS:
Invitations are free with your birthday party. We have 3 options to choose from—1 & 2 OPTION—Go to website www.JJSKATE.net, click on BIRTHDAY PARTY button, click on INVITATIONS. OPTION 1 Email your guests directly through the link, INVITATIONS page. OPTION 2 Print invitations. Select the invitation design and print. OPTION 3 You are welcome to stop in during any public skating session and pick invitations up at the Ticket Window.
PAPER PRODUCTS/THEME PARTY:
Red tablecloths are provided. You’re welcome to bring balloons, paper products, tableware, table clothes, table center pieces. Please do not tape or stick anything to the walls including no banners, posters, wall hanging etc. DO NOT BRING: Confetti, silly string, piñatas or glitter.
SKATE MATES:
Got beginner skaters in your group? No worries! We offer Skate Mates. Handy little helpers that can be pushed on the rink to give beginners some extra balance and confidence. And the best party? Yep, they’re totally complimentary. That’s right, free to use and ready to roll!
SOCKS:
Socks are required for both roller skating and Bounce Quest activities. Please remind your guests to bring or wear socks. We have socks available for purchase also.
PROGRAMMING/MUSIC/LIGHTING/FOG:
Skating sessions are programmed to provide maximum entertainment for families, elementary and middle school students. All of our music is “radio” edited. Due to the nature of our business, theatrical fog and lighting effects (strobe and laser) are in use during the skating session.
MUSIC SELECTION:
Jumpin’ Jupiter provides the DJ, music, and sound system. We do not play explicit versions of songs. If you have special song requests, please submit your playlist at least 3 weeks before your party by emailing email@jumpinjupiter.net and calling to confirm we received it, or by dropping it off during any public skating session. A typical 2-hour party includes about 35 songs. While we’ll do our best, we cannot guarantee every requested song will be played due to time limits or song availability. We do not accept song requests on the day of your party. The DJ’s music programming is prepared in advance. Personal music devices cannot be connected to our sound system.
COSTUME CHARACTERS / FACEPAINTERS / MAGICIANS / BALLOON ARTISTS:
If you’ve booked one of our custom character visits, your Party Pal will arrive just before cake time and visit for approximately 20 minutes. If you plan to bring in outside entertainment, such as a magician, balloon artist, face painter, or custom character, advance approval is required. Any applicable vendor fees must be arranged with Jumpin’ Jupiter at the time of booking. Please email your vendor information to iemail@jumpinjupiter.net and call to confirm we received it. Approved vendor arrangements and any applicable fees will be included in your party confirmation email.
BALANCE OF PARTY DUE:
Your remaining party balance is due 10 days before your party. One person is responsible for making the final payment. We are unable to accept separate payments from individual guests. If your guest count increases beyond 50, simply include the additional guests when you make your final payment 10 days before your party.
DEPOSIT/BALANCE/CANCELLATION:
Your $200 party deposit also applies towards any excessive cleaning fees if needed. Our amazing staff handles normal party cleanup as part of your party experience. To help keep things fun and running smoothly, please avoid food fights, smashing cake into faces, and using confetti, glitter, or silly string. Extra messes take additional time to clean up, and we appreciate your help in keeping Jumpin’ Jupiter clean and ready for everyone’s next celebration!
A few important (but friendly!) party details: EXCESSIVE CLEANING:
The deposit also covers any excessive cleaning fees. Our amazing staff will handle the normal party cleanup – that’s one of the perks of partying with us! But to keep things fun and clean, here are a few no-nos: no food fights, no smashing cake into someone’s face (even if it’s tempting), and please skip confetti, glitter, and silly string. Excessive messes take extra time to clean up, and we want to keep the party rolling smoothly for everyone.
EXIT:
We also ask that all party guests, including cake, gifts and personal belongings, exit the building within 15 minutes after your party ends. our team needs this time to get everything ready for the next group of skaters and partiers. If some guests are waiting for a ride after the party, please stay with them until their ride arrives.
DEPOSIT REFUND:
If everything goes smoothly, your deposit will be refunded back to the credit card used or a Jumpin’ Jupiter check within 10 days after your party. We do reserve the right to make the final call on refunds, but we’re all about good times and happy parties!
PAYMENT TYPES:
PAYMENT TYPES: Payment of cash, Visa, Master Card or Discover, American Express accepted. Please no checks. 4% booking fee online and balance of party transactions.
