Roller Rink FAQs
Can I bring my own skates?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring your own roller skates or roller blades, just make sure the wheels are clean and in good shape, with no bolts or nuts sticking out. Your skates will be checked at the ticket window before entry. Please note, we don’t allow “heelie” type skates or skateboards.
Are skate sizes the same as shoe sizes?
Our rental skates don’t come in half sizes and tend to run a bit larger than street shoes. If you wear a size 6.5, women should try a 6, and men should go for a 7. If the skates don’t fit, you’re welcome to return them to the rental counter, and we’ll happily exchange them for a better size.
Can I walk on the skating floor to help my child if they can’t skate well?
During public skating sessions, only those wearing skates are allowed on the skating floor. We suggest children practice on the carpet first to gain balance, and we have skate mates available for extra support. Parents can walk alongside their children in the designated practice area.
What do you have available for smaller children?
Skating has no age limit, and we have Fisher Price skates and easy rollers for little ones. Our Bounce Quest playground is open to kids up to 56 inches tall, and parents can join in the fun at no extra cost. For younger children who can sit up but aren’t walking yet, we also have kiddie carts available.
Can you tighten wheels on rental skates?
We can’t tighten the wheels on our rental skates because they are designed to spin freely around the axle for the best skating experience. If your child needs extra support, we offer skate mates that provide added stability while skating.
When is the best time for beginner skaters?
While we can’t promise it won’t be busy, weeknights and early weekend sessions are usually less crowded and better suited for younger or beginner skaters.
Skating Session Expectations
Session Programming
Public skating sessions are programmed to provide the maximum entertainment for families, elementary and middle school students.
Games/Specials
Games and specials are a part of the entertainment experience our skating center provides. Some games and specials are played just for fun and others are to encourage better skating balance and coordination. A variety of games are played throughout the session from Wiggle Jiggle Bug, Traffic Jam, 4 Corners, Crazy Skate, Shoot the Duck along with traditional favorites such as Hokey Pokey and Limbo. We run specials/games that may require you to leave the skating floor for a few moments. Please exit the skating floor, catch your breath, take a break, grab a drink at the Milky Way Cafe, talk with friends or try your luck at any of our redemption games. Then get ready for the “AllSkate!”
Music/Video Format
A variety of music is played during our skating sessions from – Top 40, R&B, Country, Party Classics, and Old School Songs. All of our music is “radio” edited.
Cosmic Skate – Music and videos may not be appropriate for all ages.
Lighting/Fog
Due to the nature of our business, theatrical fog and lighting effects (strobe and laser) are in use during the skating sessions.

What is considered a drop off – anyone not driving to the facility, under the age of 18 and a parent or guardian is not staying to watch.
Drop Off: (Before you leave the parking lot.)
- Make sure your child has enough money for admission, skate rental and something to eat and/or drink.
- You know which responsible adult is picking up your child.
- What the skating session hours are and when session ends. Pickup time is 10 minutes before session ends or earlier.
- Do NOT drop your child off any sooner than 10 minutes before the session starts.
- Please note – Less than 1 hour of session left – No Drop Offs – Parent must stay. Child will not be allowed to pay and enter the facility unless parent stays to watch. Even if someone else is taking them home.
- To maintain our family-friendly environment, children and teens must be wearing skates if parents are not present in the facility. We don’t allow kids or teens to hang out without skating.
Conduct:
- Your child needs to be on their best behavior. We hold a zero tolerance for fighting, arguing with staff and profanity. Horse play and chasing are unacceptable. Keep their hands to themselves and be respectful of others. Our staff in black and white stripped or blue Jumpin’ Jupiter shirts are available to assist with any concerns or issues.
- We have a three strike policy. 1st Offense – Warning, 2nd Offense – Sit Down 10 minutes, 3rd Offense – Parent is called to pick up child.
- If your child receives a 3rd Offense disciplinary action – This information will be documented. Drop off privilege may be revoked along with possible ban from the facility. No refunds will be given.
Leaving the Building:
- Once your child leaves the facility – they will be charged to re enter. Do not drop your child off if you don’t think they will stay in the building. We are not responsible for your child if they leave the building. Parents are welcome to stop in during the session at any time and check on their child.
- Parent pickup time is 10 minutes BEFORE SESSION TIME HAS ENDED or earlier. If not picked up on time – Drop Off Privileges may be revoked, the authorities may be called and/or child protective services. Be here on time to pick up your child.
- In case of an emergency or they are done skating early make sure your child has your cell phone number and able to reach you. It’s $.50 to use our business phone. If you must call to talk to your child, we will give your child a message to call you back.
What types of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, Apple Pay and cash. Please, no checks.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes, we sell gift cards that can be used throughout the facility, including for admission, skate rentals, concessions, the skate shop, redemption prizes, and game tokens. You can buy them at the ticket window during any public skating session.
Can I use the coupons from Jumpin’ Jupiter on a different day or time than what’s listed?
Unfortunately, no. These coupons are designed for specific dates and times to offer special deals. Allowing them to be used any time would affect the special value of the deals.

Came here recently with the family early morning and had a really wonderful experience! It was clean, wasn’t too crowded, and the staff were so nice at helping us find the right fit skates.
